This season will also feature a young Czech conductor, finalist of the prestigious Donatella Flick 2014 and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors 2016 competitions – Jiří Rožeň. Last year, he was chosen as one of six highly successful Czech conductors by ČT Art, which made a half-hour documentary about him. He invited exclusive soloists to Žilina – violinist Pavel Šporcl and soprano of Ukrainian-Greek origin Victoria Khoroschunova.
