The exceptional string ensemble, known for its precise interpretation of classical and contemporary works, has built a solid reputation at home and abroad over the half-century of its existence. It has successfully represented Slovak musical culture in almost all European countries, as well as in Japan, India, Morocco, the USA, Canada, the Faroe Islands and Cuba. The ensemble is a recipient of the prestigious Tatra banka Award for Art (2015) and the Award of the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic for contribution to the field of musical art. It has dozens of recordings on CD and a long-standing cooperation with Slovak Radio and foreign radio companies. The guest of the evening will be the exceptional pianist Matej Arendárik, holder of many international awards.
