This season will also feature a young Czech conductor, finalist of the prestigious Donatella Flick 2014 and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors 2016 competitions – Jiří Rožeň, whom the Žilina audience knows from the Allegretto Festival and from the subscription concert in March 2022. For the first time in its history, the Slovak Sinfonietta will perform the entire incidental music to J. W. Goethe’s play Egmont with a soprano solo performed by the young Ludmila Pergelová. The world-famous Czech violinist Ivan Ženatý, well-known to the Žilina audience from several great concerts, will perform as a soloist.
